Avenue Q (2012)

Music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx
Book by Jeff Whitty

March 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, and 31 at 8 pm
March 18, 25 and April 1 at 2 pm

Avenue Q is unlike anything ever seen before on or off-Broadway! With a cast of 11 puppets and three human characters interacting in a Sesame-Street-meets-South-Park style—all wondering why real life is not what the world of children's TV had led them to believe. Profanity-laced and hilarious, this is definitely a show for mature audiences. Parents must use their own discretion when deciding if their children are mature enough to see this show; as the official Avenue Q website says, "If you do bring your teenagers to Avenue Q, they'll think you're really cool."

Winner of three Tony Awards®.

Warning: Mature audiences only!

Admission: $10 to $30

Location: The Broach Theatre, 520 South Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27406 MAP

Thanks to a generous grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, CTG is offering FREE babysitting during two of our Avenue Q performances!

On Friday night, March 23, you may drop off your children at our Studio on the 4th floor of the Cultural Arts Center (200 North Davie Street), where they'll enjoy snacks, games, and activities while you laugh your head off watching Avenue Q. At the matinee performance on Sunday, April 1, your kids will hang out in Studio B, right behind the theatre.

Snacks, games, and a mock audition mini-workshop will be available for those interested.

Call (336) 333-7469, x.200, to make a reservation for your little ones.
