Congratulations to our Centerstage Youth performing group for
Outstanding Achievement in Dance at the 2012 Junior Theatre
Festival in Atlanta, Ga.
All about Centerstage and Centerstage, Jr.
CTG's award-winning Centerstage and Centerstage, Jr. Youth Performing Groups provide a prestigious opportunity for experienced performers in grades 3-12. Founded in 2006 by CTG's Education Director Roz Fulton, these audition-only troupes meet the needs of serious, young actors. Once accepted, students will work with professional instructors, concentrating on acting and musical theatre. Classes focus on diction, voice development, and theatre dance, and will culminate in professional-level performances.
In addition, Centerstage students will have the opportunity to attend the MTI Theatrics Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, from January 13-16, 2012. Centerstage performers will compete against hundreds of other students from around the country. CTG's Centerstage group has brought home an award every time it's competed:
2007: "Best Acting" (School House Rock, Jr.)
2009: "Best Music" (Into the Woods, Jr.)
2011: "Best Acting" (Annie, Jr.)
2012: "Best Choreography" (Aladdin Jr.)
Throughout the fall of 2011, Centerstage, Jr. will meet on Tuesdays (from September 6 – December 20) from 4:30-6:30 pm, and Centerstage will meet on Thursdays (from September 1 – December 22) from 4:30-6:30 pm.
Tuition is $350 or four payments of $100 per month. Financial Aid is available for qualified applicants. For more information, e-mail Roz Fulton or call her at (336) 333-7470, x201.

This epic story recounts a struggle against adversity in 19th-century France. Imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread, petty thief Jean Valjean is released from his 19-year term and not only becomes an honest man, but also the mayor of a prosperous town and a loving adoptive father—violating his parole in the process. The relentless Inspector Javert, who makes a decent life for Valjean impossible, consequently pursues him. Only years later, after Valjean proves his mettle during a bloody student uprising and saves the life of a young man hopelessly in love with Valjean’s adopted daughter, does the ex-convict finally feel fully redeemed.
